About Fabian Christopher – International Illusionist

Audiences and critics around the world have enjoyed the award-winning magic and illusions of Fabian Christopher. The world’s most celebrated African-American magician of all time was born and raised in St.Louis, Missouri. Fabian Christopher developed an interest in magic at a very young age. His journey began at age eight with little magic tricks found inside cereal boxes. His father observed his fascination with magic and bought him his first magic set. What his father saw as a mere hobby became a full-time obsession for his son. After years of practice and numerous opening acts at various clubs and benefits, Fabian Christopher introduced his first major act in 1984 when he totally mesmerized his audience of 3500 unbelieving spectators with his famous floating/vanishing cigarette act. In 1987, the audience was once again enchanted by Fabian Christopher’s recreated version of Houdini’s Trunk Escape, also known as Metamorphosis, which he performed in a record-breaking 2.3 seconds. In 1990, he pushed his career even further with a phenomenal performance on the Sammy Davis, Jr. Telethon, where the master illusionist caused his lovely wife and assistant, Judy, to mysteriously float in mid-air, and without warning vanish into thin air. “Now that’s magic!” said acclaimed actor/ VP VJ Dickson.ic. Fabian Christopher and wife Judy have accomplished many feats as illusionists including becoming the grand prize winner in a competition with over 28 other magicians earning the prestigious honor of representing the United States in an exclusive one-year contract in Taipei, Taiwan. This led to the show’s international fame which has been featured on TYT Cable News in Taipei, Taiwan whereby Fabian Christopher’s perfomance was proclaimed the Must See Show of the Year.
